The design on this pair of autobiographical narratives by the president from Illinois known as "Honest Abe" presents a rogue's gallery of the state's less honorable politicians.

When I was ten years old, my family moved to Illinois. Our move coincided with the discovery of $800,000 in cash stuffed in shoeboxes in the closet of the recently-deceased Illinois Secretary of State. This welcome to my home state captured my imagination and proved to be just a hint of antics yet to come.
