Project Gutenberg text formatted by the binder and laser printed onto Fabriano CMF Ingres. Includes additional material from the Internet Archive: a facsimile of the title page from the 1818 first edition, Theodore Von Holst frontispiece illustration from the 1831 revised edition, and the prefaces to these two editions.

Full calf binding sewn on sawn-in cords with laced-in boards. Hand sewn, silk headbands; three edges sprinkled with acrylic ink. Gold tooled borders. Marbled endpapers by Pamela Smith.

Binding is a facsimile of Byron’s personal copy of Frankenstein inscribed by the author. This book was auctioned in 2012, asking price £350,000.
