Crossed structure binding in two colors of calf, both lined with brown walnut Cave paper. Endsheets folios of the same Cave paper. 1911 panoramic photographs from the Library of Congress depict the historic arena and groups represented at the Pendleton Round-Up from its beginning in 1910: Native Americans, Cowgirls, the rodeo band, and, of course, the fans. Stitching and materials used for the binding reference frontier leather craft such as saddles, chaps, or journals used by explorers and early settlers.
