Limp parchment binding based on the non-adhesive “clip-on cover” structure. Text block sewn long stitch into Hook BK Case wrapper, covered in case of sea bass, red snapper, Atlantic salmon, lake trout. Title stamped and case casually gilt with gold foil. Tackets of fish parchment, those attaching label painted with shell gold. Ruscombe Mill endpapers. All parchment processed by the binder. This volume from a mid 19th century natural history series includes 32 hand-colored plates of fish in vaguely whimsical environments. Bound 2022.
