There’s lots of passion to find between the covers in this episode of Artist’s Books Unshelved! Featured books are “Random Passions,” by Karen Hanmer.

Now in season two, Bainbridge Island Museum of Art's "Artist's Books Unshelved" is a video series exploring selected pieces from the Cynthia Sears Artist’s Books Collection.

This virtual exhibit presented an open choice within the theme of Modern Renaissance. Midwest Chapter members were asked to take this opportunity to explore an aspect of rebirth and/or share something new they had made over the past few years. Ten binders submitted 14 works, which we present here for you.

Alphabets Alive! brings the magic of books and alphabets to life, featuring more than 150 works inspired by the alphabet – manuscripts, prints, posters, sculptures, alphabet books and, especially, artists’ books in their many shapes, sizes, colours, materials and languages.
